Grain

Another wet year perhaps or keen to get the harvest in, well we can help.

We are able to dry crops in either of one of our two high capacity driers. We have a 50 tonne an hour Perry dryer for fast intake of 30 tonne lorries. We can also take in grain transported by tractor and trailer as this can be received and treated by our new small load 15 tonne an hour intake facility. After which it may be returned back to your own store or loaded out to get to its ultimate destination.

With our on site laboratory we are instantly able to assess the moisture and quality of your feeds, seeds or grain. If you are not completely happy with the results we can improve them for you. We can instantly determine what needs to be done to make your crop the best it can be, before it is stored or sold. For example , we can bring down the moisture, or using our Lawdenis rotary cleaner to clean it, in our state of the art grain plant which is able to operate at a 100 tonnes an hour. This allows us to dry, condition and clean feeds, seeds and grain to an extremely high standard.

“How often do we hear that harvests have become more challenging – the reality is the market has become more competitive and we have to produce higher quality feeds, seeds and grains.”

With our state of the art laboratory you instantly know the quality of your product. If you are not completely happy with the results we can improve the quality using screening sieves and our drying facility. We can make your feeds, seeds or grain meet your markets specification.

We own a 50 tonne an hour Perry grain dryer, a 100 ton an hour Lawdenis rotary cleaner, in a state of the art grain plant capable of operating at a 100 tonne an hour. This allows us to dry, condition and clean grain to an extremely high standard to maximise grain sales.

Alongside this we have 20,000 tonnes of grain storage. All grain is sampled at in-take on our ministry plated weighbridge. All the input data is stored on a grain store management software. Crops are monitored whilst in store using an internet based recording system to monitor grain temperature in store.

We are able to provide customers a weekly/monthly storage report if required.

We produce a report on a monthly basis by client for the commodity stored. We will record any product sold and dispatched on an ongoing basis so you know exactly what is in store at any time.

Our laboratory is equipped with the latest technological equipment provided by the new Perten 9500 infrared grain analyser. This allows us to measure moisture in cereals and oilseed rape, as well as record the grain density, protein, nitrogen, oil and hardness.

Each Load is sampled on our certified weighbridge using an automated grain sampler spear. This speeds up intakes loads. The sample is analysed and tested for DON and Zon mycotoxins as well as germination and hagberg and of course moisture. We can show admixture results and retention on a 2.0, 2.25, 2.5mm sieve. All samples are also put through our insectomat, which sifts out dust, dirt and bugs.

Every sample tested in our Lab is kept for up to 12 months so you have complete traceability.
